eluate
   In serology, denotes an antibody solution made by recovery into a fluid medium of antibodies that have been taken up by red cells. Saline is usually the fluid selected and the recovery of antibodies from the red cell is effected by, for example, raising the temperature of the sensitized cells to 56°C.
